Hey guys, I have to apologize for not publishing here for quite time now. I'll do my best to post at least once per week.

I don't know what should I put first...I have done so much in this past months.

Finished my BA of cinematography, and started my MA of photography.

I also got a lot of job opportunities, done some advertising jobs for T-mobile, also done a tones of editorial shoots for magazines.

I think it is best for me to put first some segments of my commercial work, and than start to post my projects.

I think you gonna like what I'm gonna show u ;)

I didn't wrote a journal for some time now.
Well as usual I have been really busy but that u can see through my post's on my dA and on my facebook for the ones that follows me there....

It was a test of my new 5dmk2 camera, and I wanted to test if my laptop is able to edit files from the camera...Well I have to say it was not easy, I thought that it's gonna explode :)

Groznjan Workshop

Well I've got back from the landscape workshop with professors William Osterman from Rochester university, and Sandra Vitaljic, Nenad ILijic, Darije Petkovic and Jelena Blagovic from ADU Zagreb.

Well hi people, how it's going?
I've been on my well deserved vacation, hope u managed to get some rest ? :)
And yesterday my good friend and great photographer Dean Zulich came to Zageb (check his work here ) To bad he had to leave today early morning, but for a one day we had a great time :)

So wile I was on my vacation I made some photos with my friend Petra, she needed some new photos for a modeling agency, so here they are :)

A short STORY

Well I first have to apologize for not posting anything in a wile now :)
( here is a black and white portrait of Rade Šerbredžija as an apologies :) I'm really satisfied with it ).
It has been really busy last few months, but I managed to give most of my exams, and now I only have 3 more left to finish my second year.

I've also had some job opportunities. I had a test shoot for Croatian magazine KLIK (something similar to FHM), and I've started to work for Croatian weekly magazine Story, it is something like a tabloid, but they have a great production of their shoots so the editorials are great quality. Some of the best Croatian fashion photographers work for them, so I have to say it's a honor to be shoulder to shoulder to them.

Well here are some photos that I've made for Story and some parts of the test shoot for KLIK :)

Two days ago I had a session with Lidija, she needed photos for advertising her dance studio.

I used 5 flash heads, three 400ws and two 1600ws visatec lights
three softboxes and two grids for back light and contra light.

Evo dodao sam i jedan slide show sa vjencanja koje sam radio prosle godine, zasto bas to vjencanje? Well I've added a slide show from a wedding that I've done last year. I've chosen this wedding because it had great atmosphere and they were realy pleased with the pictures, I think this is the best example how a wedding that I shoot will look :). Well this photos where made for a play written by Miroslav Krleža and preform by the students of academy of dramatic arts, I'm not sure which one will exactly be the one used for the poster of the play but I vote for no1 and the last in the row. I mean I've done everything in 20 minutes from the light setup to the final photo...here are four of the best from the really short session not so much difference between them but enough to put them here. I even didn't have my camera, I used Nikon d70 from the academy and one soft box on the left :)

well almost half a year ago I got this mail :

Hello!

I am writing to you from Digital Photographer magazine because we’d like you to be included in our latest project. We are compiling a bookazine (larger than a magazine but made of the same material) entitled Inspirational Images. The bookazine will be on sale in September in stores such as WHSmiths and supermarkets, as well as our eShop.

The product is compiled of the very best images featured on our DP Website. Your images really stand out as having the standard we'd like to print and as such we would like to invite you to submit two of what you consider your best images for inclusion, from the DP site.

We are unable to offer payment for the images and as such fully understand if you decide to decline this invitation.

However if you accept and would like your images to appear in the bookazine you will of course be credited and the appropriate copyright tagged."

In the further text were instructions how to send images copyright statement and that kind of stuff. I think the year book was out in sale for 2 months now but I couldn't get it here in Croatia, yesterday I accidentally saw the issue on the newspaper stand, regarding its condition I would say that it was there for a long time :D I wasn't sure if my photos were published but the guy at the stand allowed me to check first I have to say it is a great feeling to see your picture all over two pages and another across one whole page. At first I didn't noticed but they also used the pictures that I send for their competition as a example for the pictures that were already submitted to the offered categories , my were used for documentary and wedding :) Well here are the tear sheaths, just klik on the picture to enlarge :)

Prije skoro pola godine sam dobio gore navedeni mail (da sada ne c/p dva puta) a ljen sam prevoditi :) uglavnom u daljnjem tekstu maila su upute kako poslati fotografije, copyright izjava da im dopustam da ih objave i slicne stvari. Iskreno koliko sam upoznat, ovaj godisnjak je izasao pa skoro prije dva mjeseca. No ja jednostavno nisam bio u prilici da ga narucim iz engleske pogotovo jer nisam siguran dali su mi prihvacene fotografije pa mi je bilo bezveze baciti 200kn :). Jucer sam slucajno nabasao na njega na jednom kiosku, zamolio djelatnika da mi dopusti da pregledam fotke i moram priznati da je lijep osjecaj vidjeti rad preko dvije stranice (prvo sam skuzio samo "you wanna mess with me") jos je bilo bolje kada sam skuzio i "free your mind" preko cjele jedne strane. Uglavnom odmah sam ga kupio iako je bio u losem stanju, vjerovatno je bio preskup ljudima i tu je stajao tih par mjeseci :) no isplatilo se! Kasnije sam skuzio da su i objavili i dvije moje fotke kao pristigle radove za natjecaj koj je bio u tijeku (jos uvijek nisu proglaseni pobjednici) to su fotke pod temom Documentary i Wedding sto mi je moram priznati imponirano iako me tu nisu podpisali no to sto su ih iskoristili za tako nesto znaci da su im bile dobro, meni i to dovoljno :D

Few days ago a French guy with a nick Toffeur on dA posted a comment below my picture http://tomislav-moze.deviantart.com/art/Can-t-reach-my-dreams-59548492 that the photo was published in this month french PHOTO, today he has send me the tearsheaths of the cover and the page it was published.
the photo isn't full page but that's not important It's the most influenced photographic magazine in Europe, maybe even world so it's a great honor to me being a part of it :)
I also got 100 000 pageviews on deviant art so that's another thing to celebrate

Well few days ago I got a mail that the main editor of Croatian week magazine Globus likes my photos and that that they wold love to make an article about it few days after I meet their reporter gave them some pictures, told them few things about me.Two days ago the article was published I'm really pleased with it except the part about my brother where they quoted me for something I didn't said.This really mans a loot to me I mean it's a really good publicity :) So here are the scans of the article

Prije par dana sam dobio mail da se glavnom uredniku Globusa svidaju moje fokte i da zeli napraviti clanak o meni i mojim radovima, dva dana nakon sam se nasao sa njihovom novinarkom i dao joj nesto fotki i rekao sma joj nesto o sebi.Prije dva dana je clanak objavljen i prilicno sam zadovoljan jer sam dobio 5 strana u prestiznom hrvatskome tjedniku jedina stvar koja me smeta je naslov odlomka o mome bratu gdje m citiraju za nesto sto nisam rekao, ja i dalje smatram da je on ziv a iz naslova bi se moglo zakljuciti da sam se pomirio da je mrtav i to nije bilo lijepo od njih.A kaj bus....novinari....Uglavnom evo napokon sam dobio skenove pa uivajte :D

BMW session

Well I didn't post anything new for a while now....to tell u the truth I really didn't have time....3 weddings in a raw and a I was event photographer for Imago advertising agency...But two days ago I manage to find some time for a small session.
The idea of a session was to make a photo of a BMW car for a BMW club calendar.
I used for this session:

here is one behind the scene photo (next time I have to make more pictures):

the setup for two pictures I will put was a little bit different, I removed umbrella ( in the picture flash with umbrella was 580ex at 1/1 ) and the back light was moved little bit closer to the car (430ex at 1/1)

Today I won ipod touch 32gb on the local photo site www.fotke.hr my photo "seen on TV" was photo of the month and the prize for it was ...you know it ;)

Vrijeme je da stavim nesto manje depresivno...
Danas sam osvoji ipod touch na www.fotke.hr . Moja fotka "seen on TV" je bila fotka mjeseca a nagrada je zna se ;)

On this picture is as most of u know my brother

On the 23.02.2007 he was kidnapped in district part of city Sofia in Bulgaria...after that we lost all trace of him regard the fact that the kidnappers were arrested only 3 hours after it happened.
Few days ago I got a news that the kidnappers where released duo lack of evidence, I think that is crazy!Because they have done it in front of 20 people in a restaurant and the inspectors found his blood in their car...they even admit that they kidnapped, beet him and after that trow him from the car....
Me and my family are devastated, it seems that everyone stooped looking for him and that he doesn't exist even for justice ;(

I don't know what to do any more, so i decided to post his picture here, some of u my watcher's are from Bulgaria so if there is chance that someone saw him, or if u can post his picture somewhere where people could recognize him I would be thankful.

For u others:

na ovoj slici [link] je kao sto vecina vas zna moj brat

23.02.2007 on je otet u predgradu grada Sofije u Bugarskoj...nakon tog dogadaja mi smo izgubili svaki njegov trag unatoc cinjenici da su otmicari bili privedeni samo 3 sata nakon sto se to sve dogodilo.
Prije nekoliko dana smo dobili vijest da su otmicari oslobodeni zbog nedostatka dokaza, sto je totalna glupost jer su otmicu napravili u restoranu punom ljudi, inspektori su potvrdili da su nasli Ivanovu krv na sjedistu automobila i jos su otmicari sami priznali da su ga odveli u autu pretukli i izbacili iz auta

Moja obitelj i ja smo shrvani jer izgleda da ga vise tamo nitko ne trazi, on je jednostavno postao samo snop papira u nekoj ladici u bugarskoj....;(
Iskreno vise neznam sto da cinim...pa sam odlucio tu staviti njegovu sliku u nadi da ga se nece zaboraviti i ako postoji ikakva sana da tako nesto saznamo, ili potaknemo nekoga da pokusa saznati ja cu to nastaviti raditi....

Sigma 20/1.8 here I come!

Evo nakon dugog trazenja gdje i kako kupiti uzeo sam napokon Sigmu 20mm f 1:1.8 DG RF EX, necu sada pisati one zamorne stvari tipa kolika joj je kromatska aberacija, to imate svugdje po netu...jednostavno cu reci svoje misljenje i staviti cu par fotki.

Zasto sigma 20/1.8? Pa posto volim koristiti ambijentalno svjetlo a i kako kod vjencanja pokusavam koristiti sto manje blic, uvijek gledam da mi svaki objektiv ima sto veci otvor blende.

Prednosti:Pa ima ih puno.Prvo cinjenica da sigma kod EX serije isporuci sijenilo i torbicu za objektiv, to me uvijek razveseli. Sto se tice samih prednosti objektiva, jos ga nisam probao na vjencanju ili slicno gdje cu najbolje vidjeti kako radi...no kad bi naveo prednosti onda bi to normalno bila blenda, lijepi bokeh, na full frame aparatu je prilicno sirok a ne krivi linije i nije uopce bacvast. Meni se svida to sto je masivan. Kvaliteta slike je s obzirom na cijenu zadovoljavajuca, na 1:8 mi daje jednaku ostrinu kao 50mm na 1.4, jedino sto se ta ostrina ne povecava drasticno kao kod pedesetke...dakle na 2.8 je ostriji ali ne toliko koliko je ef 50mm/1.4. Jos jedna stvar koja mi se svidjela je odlican "makro" u biti kod situacija kada je fokusirani objekt blizi imam osjecaj da objektiv daje puno ostriju sliku nego na udaljenosti od npr. 2m. (slika 2 - F2.2 - 1/60 - iso 400)

mane: Prva stvar koja mi se ne svida je brzina fokusa, prilicno je spor no ajde s obzirom na cjenu oprostit cu mu :D. Sto se tice ostrine, meni je ocekivana s obzirom na cjenu i ono sto sam vidio po net-u no volio bi da je ostriji na f2.8, cesto mi se dok sam ga probao da mi je na 2.2 ostriji nego na 2.8. Kod full frame aparat je dosta nezgodno raditi s tolikim otvorom blende jer na 1.8 je dovoljno da se osoba koju snimate malo pomakne naprijed, nazad i vec nije u polju maximalne ostrine pa je mislim najbolje kod fotkanja ljudi u pokretu ipak imati blendu bar na 2.2. Jedna stvar me jos nije zasmetala no imam neki filing da bude....to je prekidac sa autofokusa na manual.ni fokus..postoje dva.: jedan klasica i jos drugi gdje fokusni prsten spustite ili dignete ovisno o modu no problem je sto da bi prebacili s af na mf trebate oba prekidaca prebacivati. (slika 3 - F2.2 - 1/200 - iso 100)

Moj zakljucak je da se isplati dati 350€ za taj objektiv, ne vise d toga.U americi ga dobijete za 300€ tako da je tamo jos isplativiji...kod nas u hrvatskoj mu je cjena 500€ sto je malo preskupo. No za svatove i slicne stvari gdje print ne ide preko 20x30cm ovaj objektiv je savrsen.

Red bull golden jump

Iako je dosta proslo od tog dogadaja,tocno 5 mjeseci, mnogi nisu vidjeli vecinu fotki, pa sam odlucio staviti tu slide show (nalazi se s desne strane, samo kliknuti za vecu fotku).U slide show-u su samo fotke predane red bull-u. Nadam se da cete uzivati u fotkama. komentari su vise nego dobro dosli, a i pitanja dakako ;) Pozdrav!

Pošto sam prije par dana prisustvovao na druženju Hrvatskih foto blogera, odlucio sam da i ja stvorim svoj. Korisna je ovo stvar a i mogu podjeliti neke stvari s vama ljudima. Probat cu sto redovitije stavljati fotke, projekte, iza scene fotke, koj savjet za obradu, no sve ovisi o tome koliko cu vremena imati. Pozdravi i nadam se da ce ovo biti zabavno druzenje!

Well here I am in this world off bloggers, few days ago I was on a meeting of Croatian photo bloggers so I decided to make myself one. I will try to share my latest photos, projects, behind the scene photos and I'll try do give some advices about postprocess but it will all depend about my free time....Greetings and hope this will be fun! I will write everything on Croatian and English so be patient if I post something on Croatian...soon will come the English version ;)
